The Grind

Whats going on Tailgaters, followers of King of Underground Media, and the Live by Terrence Network. Today is one of those days where special things will happen. Big things, whether you are starting something new or striving to get ahead, are happening for you. It's all a matter of WANT TO and WILL DO over COULD DO and SHOULD DO.

To those who are competing in the Grind 'Til I Sign event at Martini's in Columbus tonight, a bit of advice. Get those network opportunities in motion, pass out those cards, get those CDs, DVDs, and websites out to the public. Remember its like DJ Stone says, we are all artists and if we want to make moves it happens through word of mouth, share ideas, network. Support your artists, theres nothing local about music, its universal, share your love, show your love.

Only you can get your name out there and its your passion that will get you noticed. Show your heart, show that you really love and believe in yourself. Hone your craft, put in the hard work and don't take it for granted because when you do, you sell yourself short. Life is too valuable to do that. There will be ups, there will be downs. Its up to you to keep going, keep striving, keep grinding.

Sports and music go hand in hand, I may be a host of a sports-related show, but I grind and strive for the best. Its what we do, we have been given a gift. A gift to sing, spit bars, talk sports and entertainment, do what makes us happy and what we are best at. Good luck to all of you competing and remember, because you looking for admiration from your peers, make sure you are true to the person you see in the mirror everyday. Ask yourself did you do everything you could to make your dreams come true, if your answer is yes then you are lying to yourself. If your answer is no, get up and grind harder.

EMBRACE THE GRIND!!!

Jermaine Houston, host of the Tailgate Crew.
