HIREDGUNS def. (noun) – slang – One who is especially proficient in a particular skill set and is employed for the sole purpose of performing that skill without fail.
HIREDGUNS was founded in 1992, with but one purpose: to
be the best damned band around. Now, nearly two decades later, those
goals have long been realized. Each of the musicians in this group
has proven mastery over his weapon
of choice. Whether we are talking about Philmon, “Big
Country” Thompson’s smooth, believable delivery of the lyrics,
Jamie Simpler’s scorching guitar work, Kyle Ross’s rocking bass
line or Marty Adams beating the drums to death, the undeniable truth
is that these men are… “HIREDGUNS”
Over the last decade HIREDGUNS have
done their time in the trenches, playing the smallest honky tonk beer
joints. They’ve played private parties, special events, bike
rallies, weddings, and divorces. They’ve also seen the big show,
billed alongside the likes of Colt Ford, Confederate Railroad, Drivin
n Cryin, Rehab, J.B. Walker and The Cheap Whiskey Band… the list
goes on and on. While touring the Southeastern United States, they
have developed a legion of faithful followers known as the
“Gunslingers” who will show up in droves to support the group.
The GUNS have used their time on the road to hone their craft,
mastering their weapons, and slaying the crowds. The band understands
that by engaging the crowd, they can fill the dance floors, empty the
beer coolers (Budweiser is the king of beers… A shameless plug for
our sponsors) and make money for their employers.
The moral to be taken from this story is simple: When
you need a band to come in and fill the room with energy, when you
need a true to life “Production” and only the best will do, you
need……..“HIREDGUNS”
